Systematics, genomics, and evolution of Indo-Pacific Birds

Welcome! I am an evolutionary ornithologist and postdoctoral scholar in the Zenil-Ferguson lab at the University of Kentucky.  I am a museum-trained evolutionary biologist and broadly interested in avian evolution, particularly in drivers of rapid phenotypic and species diversification. I approach this by incorporating specimen-based fieldwork, natural history, and next-generation genomic tools to generate phylogenetic trees for comparative analyses to understand the relationship between genes, traits, and the environment.
